Dr RaeLynn Alvarez Wicklein
B.Sc. (Psych), M.Sc. (Couns Psych), PsyD (Coun Psych).
RaeLynn’s passions are the creation of spaces cultivating cultures of feedback in practice and the expressions of vulnerability in supervision and mentoring. She is an endorsed clinical and counselling psychologist and has been practicing and supervising for 20+ years, first in the U.S. and then in Australia. She is a consultant to psychologists, trainer, speaker, and has held national and state committee roles in the APS. She is an accredited ICCE FIT trainer, having trained with Dr Scott Miller, Cynthia Maeschalck, Susanne Bargmann, and Dr Daryl Chow, and been using FIT since 2004. RaeLynn is also a Licensed Psychologist in Texas.
RaeLynn was instrumental in implementing FIT in university counselling services, non-profits, and in her own private practice. She's delivered and shared FIT at trainings, webinars, and invited lectures, and co-authored the new book Creating Impact: Four Pillars of Private Psychology Practice with Kaye Frankcom, Daryl Chow, Aaron Frost, and Nathan Castle (2022).
In 2017, RaeLynn was announced APS Women and Psychology Elaine Dignan Award Winner for her career-long work with women and girls. She is currently in private practice and provides supervision, consultation, and mentoring in the northern suburbs of Melbourne. Check out her areas of experience.
